Symbolic in its gesture, relatively easy to master physically but emotionally and psychologically a life long challenge: the art of gracefully and immediately kneeling before one's Mistress. To achieve this ideal D/s state, for one who is submissive, will mean he is subsumed by his Owner, forever kneeling before Her, the two unequal but necessary parts of the whole joined always in their hearts, souls and minds; trust, honesty and openness a given as they are now one, for not to trust the other is not trust one's self. But not all is harmony, for with harmony comes complacency, kneeling must at times be painful to remind the submissive of his place, to help him focus his attentions to where they belong, but with greater clarity.
